We have now finished our chicken production for 2017...look out for more available in late January!
We hatch our own Hubbard meat birds. They are kept indoors under a heat lamp for the first three weeks and then, when their feathers are fully developed, they are allowed outside to scratch, peck, eat bugs and generally have a lovely albeit rather short life. These plump birds are fed lots of natural treats such as corn and barley which all add to the juicy meat they produce. We only rear chickens in small batches so we cannot guarantee their size although as a general rule they tend to weigh between 1.5-2.3kg. Oven ready.
